Australia Day Victoria Ambassador Program

On-demand and social media presentations to inspire and motivate local communities on Australia Day 2021.

Brief

Produce and deliver digital assets for Local Government and manage Australia Day Ambassador and Australian of the Year Alumni talent. Create engaging content to showcase the diverse talent within the Australia Day Ambassador Program for 2021. Australia Day Victoria provided Local Government with on-demand and social presentations of the 2021 Ambassadors to inspire and motivate their communities on Australia Day 2021.

Solution

We produced talking-head videos, the interviews for which were filmed with two cameras simultaneously. A-Camera focused on talent straight down the lens and B-Camera captured wide angles and cutaways including hand gestures to highlight the subject’s emotion. The set was illuminated with Australia Day Victoria branded gradients using an array of 24 pre-programmed Astera LED Tubes to tie in the look and feel of the overarching campaign. For cut-through on social media, we captured two-to-three “Golden Grabs” from each talent — standout interview responses that either summed up the talent’s story in a nutshell, or captured a magic moment from the interview.

  • Framed 16:9 for official Government live streams and YouTube channel
  • Filmed in portrait 4:5 safe for social media placements 
  • Welcome to Country and a performance of Bunjil featuring Aunty Joy Murphy
  • 60” hero presentation and 2–3 Golden Grabs for each Ambassador 
  • All films finished with talent presenting “Respect, Reflect, Celebrate” to camera
